4 - South Africa
Our Group A predictions for the World Cup have no real big surprises. France, who barely advanced to the finals, are the heavy favorite in this group, coming into the World Cup ranked 7th by FIFA. With their solid defense I don't think they will have any problems moving on to the round of 16. Although the host country has never failed to advance to the round of 16, I believe this will be the year for it. South Africa has it tough against France, Mexico and Uruguay and will not pull out the upsets to make it on. This leaves us with either Mexico (15th ranked) or Uruguay (19th ranked) to advance. Both are solid teams, but I am predicting that Mexico will beat Uruguay in their match and advance to the the round of 16.
