Zenit St Petersburg won their top-of-the-table clash with Spartak Nalchik 3-1 to go three points clear at the top of the Premier Liga.
Vladimir Bystrov struck the opener after 65 minutes to spark a frantic nine-minute period when the hosts sealed their win with further strikes from Roman Shirokov (71, pen) and Danny (74).
Spartak substitute Nikita Malyarov claimed a stoppage-time consolation as his side lost for the first time.
CSKA Moscow stayed a point behind second-placed Spartak after they lost 1-0 at Rostov, who got their winner through Mersudin Ahmetovic after 68 minutes.
Champions Rubin Kazan joined CSKA on 17 points after Cristian Noboa's 51st-minute goal earned them a 1-0 home win over Sibir Novosibirsk.
Welliton struck either side of half-time before Alex completed a comfortable 3-0 win for Spartak Moscow against Anzhi Makhachkala.
Finally, Tomsk substitute Artem Dzjuba scored an 85th-minute winner as his side beat Terek Grozny 2-1. Sergey Kornilenko's 24th-minute penalty opened the scoring before Shamil Asildarov equalised for Terek two minutes after the break. (fifa.com)
