LONDON, KOMPAS.com - England winger, Ashley Young, said the team still have a chance to qualify for the Euro 2012 finals despite recently held 2-2 by Switzerland in qualifying, Saturday or Sunday (06/05/2011 ) early morning hrs.
Moreover, the British still controlled the standings with 11 points, one point ahead of nearest rival, Montenegro, which has one match postponed. So, England have to win three games remaining to secure their chances of qualifying for the European Cup preliminary round at the Ukraine-Poland later.
"We are a great team and have a great squad we've set. We have another tough three games, but we'll deal with it and show our best game to get nine points so we aim to play," said Young told ITV after the game.
"I think, especially in the second half, we created many chances. We did get the points, but we're disappointed," he continued.
When asked to comment about the two goals which was considered a result of blunders Swiss goalkeeper Joe Hart, Young replied, "I'm not too sure what happens when the Swiss goal. However, it has passed.
